

About the Podcast
The Boots Off Podcast is a podcast for the military veteran community by the military veteran community. Each episode features a conversation with vets of all backgrounds and covers topics such as pre- and post-military life as well as significant experiences during service and how they handled the transition to the civilian world. BOP is a passion project -- not funded by outside resources, which means completely free stories shared by wonderful people willing to donate their time to help others.
About the Host
Mike Lahrman served 11.5 years as an Active Duty Airman. He enlisted as a C-130 loadmaster, spending his six-year first term with the 39th Airlift Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base. He retrained into broadcast journalism and was assigned to American Forces Network (AFN) Tokyo, AFN Afghanistan, and AFN Pacific. Mike transitioned into the Air Force Reserve at the end of a one-year assignment to Goodfellow AFB. He now lives in Phoenix, Arizona where he balances family life with a full-time job, Reserve duty, and this podcast.
